Only a 15 minute stroll from the cottage, these waves have been known to reach heights of 15 meters, making them one some of the biggest to ever hit the Irish coastline.

LISSADELL HOUSE

Lissadell is only a stone throw away and is famous as the childhood home of Constance Markievicz, her sister Eva Gore-Booth and her brother Josslyn Gore-Booth.

 

Constance was one of the leaders of the 1916 Rising, and was the first woman to be elected to Dáil Eireann.
