Sligo Town is about to become a food lover’s paradise with the upcoming Taste of Sligo Food Festival, set to take place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2024.

Held in the picturesque Queen Maeve Square along the Garavogue River, this festival promises to be a culinary delight.


Organized by the renowned Anthony Gray, owner of Eala Bhán and Hooked restaurants, and a founding member of the Sligo Food Trail, the festival will feature top chefs and food producers from around the country.

Highlights include cooking demos starting at 12 PM each day, with MC Tracie Daily introducing celebrity chefs like Kevin Dundon, Gary O’Hanlon, Shane Smith, Frankie Mallon, and Sham Hanifa.

Local culinary stars such as Alan Fitzmaurice, Becca Sweeney, and Dr. Prannie Rhatigan will also be showcasing their talents, presenting dishes that range from tapas and pastries to Malaysian specialities.
